Creative Camp - The Enchanted Forest
Held at Grow House Forest School
20th-24th July and 27th-31st July 2020
4-9 Year Olds
This summer we are very excited to be back with our Creative Camp at Grow House Forest School in Langnau am Albis. Climb up the Magic Faraway Tree and step into the enchanted forest for five days of creativity, outdoor fun, mess and magic. (Children can also attend for individual days.) This camp will be led by Mady (Storycraft) and Emma (Grow House Forest School).
'The Faraway Tree' series, some of our favourite books, offers a fantastic imaginative world for children. We will follow Joe, Beth and Frannie into the enchanted forest to the magic faraway tree, slide down the slippery slip inside and climb the ladder at the top through the clouds into some amazing lands, including the Land of Toys, the Land of Wishes and the Land of Parties. We'll meet some interesting characters along the way including Moonface, Silky the fairy and funny old Mr. Saucepan Man. Their funny laugh-out-loud forest adventures will inspire some fantastic artwork, including Tea Party sets, Gruesome Glow-in-the-dark Goblins and Gnome houses.
As well as plenty of making, we’ll have creative play, making, fun and games in the nearby Forest and the super Forest School garden with its natural play equipment. Emma will lead the children in creative outdoor activities exploring nature and science, such as making rope, making a zip-line for a toy, picking berries and jam-making and using elder to make beads. We are also looking forward to bashing about like the Saucepan man in the mud kitchen and toasting some marshmallows on the camp fire.
The Creative Camp will include arts and crafts, creative science experiments, natural world exploration, story-telling, singing, drama, natural sculpture, creative games and play.
