STORYCRAFT CAMPS

Book on now to our Creepy Craft Camp!

Wednesday 9th October - Harry Potter (4-10 years)
Join us in the wizarding world as we are inspired by the fantastic Harry Potter stories to make the Hogwarts Express complete with mini Harry, Ron and Hermione as well as other fun Harry Potter themed activities. All extracts read/shown will be age appropriate. (NB. These will be different projects to the previous Harry Potter camp day.)

The children will have the opportunity to play and experiment with a huge variety of art materials and equipment in the Storycraft Studio to make artwork, crafts, pottery and sculpture. They will have some freedom to adapt the structured projects to fit with their interests, as well as time each day for freestyle artwork and creativity. As well as arts and crafts, each day will be broken up with a variety of fun activities, for example stories, children's poetry, singing, music, film, drama, dancing, creative games and play. You can book for one or multiple days. Half days may be available space permitting.
Thursday 10th October - The Witches (4-10 years)
Roald Dahl's 'The Witches' will inspire us to make some Halloween themed pictures, papier mache potion bottles and more. All extracts read/shown will be age appropriate.

Friday 11th October - Spooky Sketching (6-11 years)
This will be a different kind of camp day as we take a trip into Zurich to seek out the spooky in the city. We will take the boat from Ruschlikon station, drawing as we go, then we will do some urban sketching around the city and/or at the zoological museum. Weather permitting, we will take a spooky walk through the city, seeking ghosts in the old town, dark figures under bridges, gargoyles in Zurich's fantastic gothic architecture and the weird and wonderful creatures lurking in the zoological museum. We will enjoy some (not too scary) ghost stories and legends. We will also experiment with some funny drawing games such as blindfold and continuous line drawing, as well as exploring and practising our figurative drawing in a fun way. Children will also be free to draw from their imagination, it is always interesting to experience drawing in different locations, whether working from life or not. All art materials will be provided. No experience is necessary, but this camp day is aimed at children who enjoy drawing.

9am - 4pm

For children aged around 4.5 - 10 years old, the sketching day is not as suitable for younger children.
