Looking for a magical weekend adventure for your little one? Storycraft now runs every two weeks on Saturday mornings from September to April during term-time, bringing creative fun to kids aged 2–10! Parents/carers must attend with young children. Children over 4.5 years who can work independently can attend as a drop-off.
Each 90-minute session combines beloved picture book stories with hands-on art activities using materials like paint, gems, sequins, pom-poms, pipe-cleaners, papier-mâché, clay, glitter, collage papers, fluff—and more! Enjoy joyful, family-friendly sessions filled with colour, creativity, and quality time together.

🎨🐧 Rainbow Penguin Canvas Workshop

January can feel a little grey — so join us for a joyful, creative winter workshop that’s all about adding colour, sparkle and warmth to the season. Children will create their very own Rainbow Penguin Canvas, a bright and cheerful artwork perfect for lifting winter spirits, decorating a bedroom, or gifting to someone special.
We’ll begin by sharing the much-loved wintery tale Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers, then children will dive into a mixed-media art session combining painting and collage. Using beautifully coloured card (pre-cut for little hands), children will build their penguin before decorating their canvas with felt details, snowflakes, stars, twinkly sequins and a dusting of white glitter for extra winter sparkle.
Children will also experiment with fluorescent paints, adding bold, vivid colour that really pops — a perfect contrast to the colder January days. They’re encouraged to explore colours, textures and creativity at their own pace, creating a unique canvas they’ll be proud to take home.

🎨🐠 Under the Sea Aquarium Workshop

Dive into colour, texture, and imagination with this joyful under-the-sea themed workshop, the perfect way to add brightness and creative fun to the winter months.
We’ll begin by sharing the vibrant, much-loved story Hooray for Fish! by Lucy Cousins, then children will create their very own Fish Aquarium in a Box — a playful, interactive artwork full of movement and colour.
Children will explore a wide range of materials, combining painting with hands-on creative play using coloured sand, stones, shells, and clay to build their own sea creatures and underwater world. We’ll also add bright fish shapes made from craft foam, attached to wire so they can move and swim around inside the aquarium, and twinkly fairy lights to make it a pretty, glowing decoration for a bedroom.
This session encourages children to explore textures, colours, and materials freely, supporting creativity, fine motor skills, and imaginative play. The result is a vibrant, playful aquarium that children will be proud to take home.
