Looking for a magical weekend adventure for your little one? Storycraft now runs every two weeks on Saturday mornings from September to early May during term-time, bringing creative fun to kids aged 2–10! Parents/carers must attend with young children. Children over 4.5 years who can work independently can attend as a drop-off.
Each 90-minute session combines beloved picture book stories with hands-on art activities using materials such as paint, gems, sequins, pom-poms, pipe-cleaners, papier-mâché, clay, glitter, collage papers, fluff - and more! Enjoy joyful, family-friendly sessions filled with colour, creativity, and quality time together.

🎃 Saturday 24th October – Halloween T-Shirts (FULL)
Get ready for some spooky creative fun! We’ll start with Pick a Pumpkin by Jarvis before getting busy with a fun Halloween make. Children will decorate their own Halloween T-shirt using fabric paints, with lots of room to add their own spooky (or silly!) details. If time allows, we’ll finish the morning with a Halloween song or two. 👻🎶

🎃 Saturday 31st October – Whimsical Pumpkin Trick-or-Treat Buckets (FULL)
It’s Halloween! 👻 We’ll start our morning with The Ride-by-Nights, a wonderfully atmospheric Halloween story filled with witches, broomsticks and trick-or-treating fun. Then children will create their own perfect whimsical pumpkin trick-or-treat bucket in pink or black, decorating it with lots of colourful and spooky details, ribbons and embellishments. Perfect for taking out trick-or-treating later that evening! 🍬🎃 If time allows, we’ll finish with a Halloween song or two.

🎃🧙♀️ Saturday 31st October – HALLOWEEN SPECIAL - Movie & Make Party: Room on the Broom! 🐈⬛🧹
Join us for a special Halloween evening filled with art, games, music, spooky treats and a movie!
We'll start by getting creative making adorable mini witches and cats, inspired by the much-loved Room on the Broom. Decorate them with tiny hats, mini brooms, pumpkins, spiders and lots of other spooky little details! 🕷️🎃
We'll also have some Halloween party fun, with Halloween-themed snacks, a few games and a bit of dancing to get everyone in the spooky spirit! Then we'll settle down together to enjoy a cosy screening of Room on the Broom, with popcorn to enjoy. 🍿🍬
Children are very welcome to come dressed up in their Halloween costumes too! 👻
Please note that Storycraft is an art studio rather than a cinema, so our cosy movie screening will be enjoyed on a mixture of chairs and cushions. The screening is licensed through Outside the Box Films.

🏘️🎄 Saturday 21st & 28th November – Snowy Village Advent Calendars! ❄️🏠
Get ready for the Christmas countdown by creating your very own magical snowy village advent calendar!
Inspired by the lovely festive story How Many Sleeps Till Christmas?, we'll spend two creative sessions building and decorating a charming collection of little winter houses. Paint them in festive colours and shimmering metallics, then add snowy rooftops, cute little pine trees and plenty of fun embellishments, including buttons, sequins, gems and other festive decorations! ✨
Finish with a sprinkling of artificial snow to bring your winter wonderland to life. You'll have a beautiful handmade advent calendar, ready to fill with little treats and surprises throughout December and bring out year after year!
This is a two-part workshop, with both sessions included in the booking.

🦄🎄 Saturday 5th December – Magical Unicorn Baubles! ✨🌈
Add a little unicorn magic to your Christmas tree!
Inspired by the magical story The 12 Unicorns of Christmas, we'll create our own enchanting unicorn baubles using colourful foam clay, lots of glitter and plenty of imagination.
Choose pretty pastel pinks and purples or create your own colourful unicorn design, complete with a magical horn and flowing mane. Add facial details with markers, then finish with sparkly gems, tiny flowers and other pretty decorations. 🌸✨
A magical handmade bauble to hang on your Christmas tree or give as a special gift!

🧚🎄 Sunday 6th December – Glittery Christmas Fairy & Elf Baubles! ✨🧝
Let's make some magical little Christmas characters!
We'll begin with the enchanting story The Christmas Fairy by Anne Booth before bringing our own fairies and mischievous elves to life.
Using clear baubles filled with glitter and sparkle, we'll create chubby little characters complete with cute dangling legs and plenty of personality! Choose from different colours of wool to create wild hairstyles, plaits or little curls, then add tiny faces, sparkly wings or pointy elf hats. Decorate your character with ribbons, gems, sequins and other fun embellishments, or add a natural touch with some lovely woodland-inspired decorations. 🌿✨

🦌🎄 Saturday 12th December – Rudolph's Christmas Wreath! 🔴✨
Get ready to create your very own super fun Rudolph the reindeer wreath!
We'll enjoy the beautiful picture book The Little Reindeer by Nicola Killen before getting creative with our own funny reindeer decorations.
Paint your wreath in festive colours, then create a reindeer face using craft felt, foam and other colourful materials. Add big expressive eyes, a bright red pom-pom nose and magnificent golden glittery antlers! 🦌
Finish your creation with buttons, bows, fluffy pom-poms and plenty of Christmas sparkle. Give Rudolph his own funny expression and personality to create a fabulous handmade wreath to hang on your door or wall this Christmas!

🎅🧝 Sunday 13th December – Giant Christmas Elf Lanterns! 🎄✨
We're going BIG this Christmas!
After reading the fun festive story Ten Little Elves, we'll get busy making some not-so-little elves of our own!
Using colourful paper lanterns, we'll create wonderfully oversized Christmas characters. Paint your elf's cheeky face, complete with rosy cheeks, a funny nose and a big Christmas smile! 🎨
Then bring your elf to life with a cosy felt scarf, a fluffy hat, dangling legs and lots of fun festive decorations. Add buttons, pom-poms, ribbons and other colourful details to give your elf its own unique personality.
A wonderfully oversized Christmas decoration to hang up at home and bring out every year!

⭐🎄 Sunday 13th December – Christmas Clay Decorations! ❄️🎁
Let's get creative with clay this Christmas!
We'll get into the festive spirit with the classic Christmas poem The Night Before Christmas, before creating our own beautiful handmade decorations and gifts. Using white air-dry clay, we'll make decorations for the Christmas tree. Choose from lots of festive shapes, use patterned rolling pins to create lovely textures, then add some sparkle with tiny gems, glitter and sequins. Finish your decorations with pretty ribbons, ready to hang on the tree once dry! ✨
These little creations also make wonderful handmade gifts for grandparents and other loved ones. And for children who fancy making something different, there's plenty of room for imagination – why not sculpt a little snowman or another festive character? ⛄
